On May 25, 2018 the new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) will come into effect. In order to comply with GDPR the following Privacy Policy has been established below for British Academy of Rolfing® Structural Integration (BARSI):
Why BARSI might contact you:
The British Academy of Rolfing® Structural Integration offers trainings in Rolfing in affiliation with the European Rolfing Association (ERA) and the Rolf Institute of Structural Integration (RISI).
In order to communicate with potential Rolfing Training students we will contact you to let you know about upcoming Rolfing Trainings and PreTrainings. We will also contact you to inform you about any postponements to trainings and or changes in teachers or pricing.
Personal Data BARSI may collect about you, and your consent:
So that BARSI can continue to provide you with a safe and beneficial practice regarding the above, the details you provide to it (this is limited to: name, email, mobile phone number) are useful and necessary. It is important you provide your consent to BARSI to hold your personal data.
In the application process to join a PreTraining or the Rolfing Training proper we will also ask you a few more questions regarding your age, education, health, accidents. These questions are to help us: a) evaluate your candidacy for Rolfing studies; b) look after your safety and well being in class.
We will only share your data with the ERA as we are a subsidiary school licensed by the ERA. The ERA is also undergoing a rigorous process in order to make itself GDPR compliant. Both ERA and BARSI are committed to keeping your information safe and private.
BARSI will keep this data safe, secure and private at all times. BARSI does not share your information with any third parties (see above regarding ERA), nor with anyone else.
Length of time BARSI will hold your personal data:
As of 25 May 2018 BARSI will contact its database every 7 years in order to allow you to refresh your consent. Once you are a graduate of BARSI/ERA your application data and your progress and any papers you have written during school time will be stored with the ERA. Please see its Privacy Policy by contacting the ERA.
How to withdraw your consent:
You may withdraw your consent at any time. To do so, please contact BARSI via email (enquiry@britishacademyofrolfing.co.uk) to request the deletion of all your data. BARSI will do so immediately upon receipt of your request. If you simply wish to stop receiving notifications from us you can click the Unsubscribe link appearing on any of the newsletter emails you receive from BARSI.
